Clint Beard
Acquisitions Manager
Clint Beard is a Transportation Industry veteran who spent 27 years
working with two Fortune 500 Companies. His background includes
expertise in Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Operations. At
FedEx and Brink’s, Inc. Clint was responsible for Business Development
and Market Strategy. Clint holds a BBA in Marketing and Business
Management from Stephen F. Austin University.
Clint is a Father and Grandparent to 2 boys and 2 Grandchildren. He is
and avid runner and has completed 11 Marathons. In 2013 he
summited Mt. Rainier in Washington State and has summitted several
14K peaks in Colorado. He also enjoys golf, reading, college sports and
trail hiking.
Ava Grossmann
Project Manager
Ava Grossmann serves as our Project Manager. She oversees project procedures and manages the development and implementation of new business opportunities and operations.
Ava grew up in a small, rural community in Northwest Iowa. She was involved in a variety of activities including golf, cross country, and danced for 15 years at a local studio. An avid lover of music, Ava also enjoys playing violin and piano in her free time.
After high school, Ava packed her bags and moved to New York City where she lived and worked while attending college in Manhattan. Graduating summa cum laude with a degree in the Humanities, she relocated to Des Moines to work with Simple in May of 2020. Ava attends Crossroads Fellowship in West Des Moines. This summer she was excited to complete her first half-marathon in Des Moines!
Sarah Mebane
Transaction Coordinator
Sarah Mebane is our Remote Transaction Coordinator, working entirely from home where she enjoys her work days with little help from her 3 dogs. She assists homeowners through the process from contract to close, coordinating all the moving parts to ensure a timely and smooth transaction. Once you’ve decided to sell your home, Sarah will help to make it as easy as can be! Prior to joining our dynamic team, Sarah spent the better part of her career in Management and Consulting, and genuinely enjoys the challenge of orchestrating many fine details into a seamless process for our clients.
Married to a Wildland Firefighter turned Aircraft Logistics Coordinator for the US Forest Service, Sarah spends her summers looking forward to winter and the end of Fire Season, and her winters are filled with as much outdoor recreation as possible. She and her husband enjoy snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and enjoying the greatest remote wilderness available. Originally from Idaho, she and her husband recently moved East to be closer to family, and look forward to exploring all that this new area has to offer.

Neil attended Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines. There he was best known for being a humorous, easy going, hefty athlete. He played football, basketball, track and tennis. He stood out towering over others standing 6’5” and excelled in football becoming an all-state lineman. It wasn’t long before Universities started recruiting him and he took a full scholarship to the University of Nebraska at Omaha for football. One for the Dowling record books; Neil is the only graduate to be all-state lineman, letter in tennis and play football in college.
At the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) he studied business, finance and investing. He was co-founder of the Maverick Investment Club where he helped raise $1,000,000 for the investment program. Students manage the investment of the funds with all proceeds being donated to non-profit organizations. Neil was a focused student earning a double major in banking and finance and graduating in 3 ½ years.
Neil credits much of his success in real estate and life to his Alma Maters. “Dowling was terrific! They taught me a lot about character and community, about how we are all interconnected. I learned a great deal about how one can live a selfless life by serving others. We (my classmates) all go through this journey in life trying to find our special purpose and how we may serve others.”
Neil is married to his high school sweetheart Emily and they have 3 active children. They attend St. Francis in West Des Moines. Neil enjoys spending time helping with his children’s sports activities, spending time with his family, watching football, investing, fishing, boating, traveling, bar-b-ques, spending time with other families from St Francis and watching their kids play, and a good laugh. Neil is an avid reader, often reading more than 30 books a year. Topics range from general business subject like marketing and investing all the way to spirituality, writing, teaching, various biographies, cooking and traveling.
Ashely Carter

Ashley Carter grew up in small town Iowa, everyone knew everyone, and they had the best Pizza Shack around! Her dad’s job transfer brought her to Pleasant Hill where she attended Southeast Polk for her junior and senior year of high school. She participated in dance team and cheerleading and worked for her dad at the local Hy-Vee. Graduating a semester early so she could start at Mercy College in Des Moines, where she would earn a nursing degree in 2005. “I’ve always loved helping and caring for people, I’m in my 16th year as an RN and it carries over to my Real Estate! Guiding my clients through the buying and selling process is something I take great pride in, while building lasting and trusting relationships.”
Ashley has 2 kiddos, Bella and Drake, both keep busy between dance, show choir, play practice and wrestling. Her better half Brandon is also in real estate, they enjoy camping and boating down at their land at Lake Rathbun. Ashley loves to take any recipe and spin it into something healthy. When not showing houses, or checking in on flip properties you can find her in workout clothes and enjoying yoga.
